Logic integration was contacted by The Arrabella at Vail Square, one of the premier hotels in the country, concerning an existing sound system in their ballrooms. They were experiencing problems with the system from both a quality and design standpoint. Two criteria were given: improve the sound quality of the ballrooms and make the system easy to use- of course on a budget! The existing system has outdated user controls and most of the equipment had failed.
The system presented significant challenges. Arrabella management required the four ballrooms to have the flexibility of being either combined or separated, and each one had multiple microphones for guests to use during events. Additionally, the client wanted music sources for the rooms including and iPad, XM radio, and a CD player. Utilizing BiAmp’s Nexia technology along with Crestron control processing, Logic was able to provide a simple interface allowing switching between sources and room combining or separating functions. Logic Integration replaced the old user controls and installed new Crestron touchpanel controls in each of the ballrooms. To improve the sound Logic replaced all 32 of the existing poor quality speakers with higher quality Speakercraft commercial speakers and installed new Crown amplifiers to drive the speakers.
