South Adams County Fire Department
Introduction:
The South Adams County Fire Department purchased a former county dog pound. The intent was to create a training center for firefighters, complete with multi-purpose meeting spaces for seminars and a host of other potential uses.
Challenges:
The existing building presented some interesting challenges, like working within cinder block rooms accompanied by an interesting bouquet of aromatherapy. The first phase consisted of: a training room, conference room, and a small meeting room. Unique room shapes created acoustical challenges for microphones and video conferencing.
Solutions:
Logic Integration was able to overcome the building challenges by providing integrated solutions that fit the space. We were able to get into the space during the early construction process to run wires and install infrastructure to support our designs. The audio system integrates Crestron control, Shure MXA 910, 710 and 310 mic arrays and QSC DSP’s. Sony laser projectors were chosen for video presentation in the two larger rooms. Confidence monitors and room status indicators were added in as part of Phase II.
Logic Integration brought in a partner to provide custom acoustical panels to help with the room acoustics. The client provided us with images, which were then printed onto the acoustic panels to memorialize the Fire Department’s service to their community.
Key Technologies:
